The TLC is a non-profit, professional association serving as the leading trade organization that represents Savannah’s second largest industry, tourism.
As a member of the TLC, we have a series of benefits that are highlighted below. Each of these programs and activities are designed to assist in strengthening your business. TLC membership is comprised of hotels, restaurants, tour companies, and businesses that support the tourism industry such as museums, caterers, and banks. With the TLC, the business retains the membership rather than an individual. As a result, your employees are able to participate in TLC activities.

Voice for the Industry
At the Tourism Leadership Council, we work hard to represent you so that your business can focus on what you do best. In our advocacy efforts, we call upon the years of expertise and countless connections and relationships of our Board of Directors and staff. Those relationships include government representatives and industry insiders. We also sit on many task forces that make the big and small decisions that affect your business. We are dedicated to making you never feel like you are alone.

Participation Opportunities
One of the best ways to make the most of your TLC membership is through your involvement in the organization. Join a council or committee to get involved.
TLC Councils provide forums to share information amongst the different industry segments of our membership. These councils represent concierge, lodging properties, restaurants, tours, and attractions. The groups meet quarterly. If you would like to get involved, let us know.
TLC Committees meet regularly to address issues important to our mission. Programs & Development works on expanding the seminars we offer. Workforce Development focuses on building tomorrow’s employees in our industry. Also, there are committees for each of the following events:
Monthly Luncheons
More than 100 people attend the monthly luncheons, hosted at different places around town, to hear a dynamic speaker discuss important topics related to our industry.
Taste of Savannah®
Member restaurants, caterers, and distributers compete for the coveted prizes while garnering amazing promotional opportunities at this foodie event of the year.
Golf Tournament
Industry professionals come together for an afternoon of fun and networking on one of the area’s beautiful golf courses.
Annual Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner
Individuals who have impacted tourism receive awards. Several students accept scholarships to pursue education in hospitality and tourism. And, one member is recognized as the TLC Member of the Year.
