Proceeds from our events will directly benefit programs of the TLC, including scholarships for college students pursuing hospitality careers, workforce development initiatives, networking opportunities for industry professionals, educational seminars and training for industry employees and an emergency fund available for members in times of crisis.
Annual Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner: Community leaders are honored each year for their impact on the local tourism and hospitality industry with several top awards also being presented. The Tourism Leadership Council also presents a minimum of $2,000 in scholarships each year at the event to area students pursuing a career in the industry. Read more.
Annual Golf Tournament: Industry professionals come together for an afternoon of fun, networking and, of course, golf. Fabulous prizes are awarded to first, second and third place gross and net, along with an opportunity to participate in multiple contests throughout the afternoon. Lunch is provided and golfers will receive admittance into a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception following the tournament. Read more.
Taste of Savannah: This event showcases Savannah’s most exceptional restaurants and caterers, each serving samples of their favorite menu items. Between 20 and 30 restaurants and caterers participate each year. Read more.
Membership Luncheons: Informative speakers with tourism industry-related topics. Luncheons are typically held the third Thursday of each month.
Networking Socials: After-hours time for members to unwind and socialize. Socials are typically held the fourth Thursday of April - October.
